A recent MTV survey has shown that today’s American youth are failing to exhibit the same interest in voting as their forebears. While the teenagers claim this is a consequence of political impracticality, many alternatives have been suggested to remedy the situation by such sources as Harvard University, not to mention the youths themselves. I feel that the younger generation in America isn’t voting because they don’t seem to feel obligated to participate in politics. I don’t think teenagers believe in the power of a ballot and many just feel that politics are impractical. Many teens maybe plan on voting, but truly don’t think their voice will change anything and may even give up on voting all together. And others simply don’t understand politics.
