Last night's results have been highlighted by the major news organizations for its historical impact on our country. We have elected, by a majority of votes, the first African-American President. This is clearly a watershed moment in our country's history that will hopefully set the tone for positive change in the coming years.
I'm glad Mccain didn't win. His age was a very important factor in this election. If by some slim chance Mccain had been elected and had he died in office, Sarah Plain would be our next commander in chief, a two year governor from Alaska with no foreign policy experience.
I can't believe how ignorant people can be sometimes
Last nights historic event shows that anyone can achive anything. Obama came from nothing and has achived so much for himself, his family, his country and his race. Obama connects with today's society; with young people becoming more engaged in today's politics, and with African-Americans coming out to vote for someone that they feel can connect to them. Obama is a great speaker who can move a crowd; with today's society it seems as if the English language is just a joke and Bush doesn't help when he cannot get a simple sentence out, but Obama is so well spoken that his tone, calmness, assertivness, and poise make you feel proud and assurded that he is the right choice. Our country needs this change, of course we will still have issues but no matter who would be elected as president there would be issues. Obama's campaign ran very smoothly and is shows that it paid off. I send my congrats to Elect-President Barack Obama.
Well I agree. This is a historical event. We have the first African-american to be President, but I'm just looking forward to see how well Obama acts on the issues he talked about. Lets see if he can make change.
